Welcome

A quiet space to come home to yourself

Skin & Soil is a small, women-only practice based in a home studio in Noordwijkerhout, in the heart of the Bollenstreek — easily reached from Lisse, Sassenheim, Voorhout, Hillegom, Wassenaar and Katwijk.

Each visit is offered as a sacred ritual — a guided hands-on bodywork session designed not just to release tension, but to help you slow down, feel held, and reconnect with your body and your breath.

Whether you're navigating a busy season of life, carrying stress in your shoulders and hips, or simply craving stillness, this is a space made for you.

The offerings

Four rituals, one intention

Each ritual is a one-on-one hands-on bodywork session using warm, homemade oils — tailored to what your body is asking for that day.

The Grounding Ritual

A slow, full-body session using deep, deliberate touch to bring you back into your body. Focused release through the legs, feet and back — helping you feel rooted, present and supported.

For feeling rooted & present

The Stillness Ritual

A gentle, flowing session designed to quiet the mind. Soft, rhythmic touch across the shoulders, neck and scalp invites deep relaxation and a return to inner calm.

For quieting the mind

The Releasing Ritual

A firmer, intuitive session targeting tension held in the body — shoulders, hips and back. For when you're ready to let go of what you've been carrying.

For letting go

The Awakening Ritual

A nurturing session combining breath-aware pacing with mindful touch across the body, helping you reconnect with sensation, softness and your own presence.

For reconnecting with yourself

Prefer to stay on the mat? Every one of these intentions is also offered as a movement & touch session — the same themes, met through yin and vinyasa instead of the bodywork table.

A different kind of session

Somatic Yin Meets Sensual Vinyasa Flow

This is not a yoga class. It's not table-based bodywork. It's the space between the two — a slow, guided flow into deep rest, where hands-on bodywork happens right there on the mat.

We begin with soft movement and intentional breathing — a gentle, sensual vinyasa that opens the body without ever rushing it. Sensual here means sense-full: waking up what you can feel, not just what you can do. The weight of your breath. The ground beneath your hands. The quiet space between one movement and the next.

As we ease into yin, you'll be held in soft, supported shapes for several minutes at a time. This is where the real work happens: while your body rests in stillness, I bring in hands-on bodywork, meeting whatever you're holding that day — tight shoulders, a tense lower back, the places where life quietly settles in.

Holding a shape for several minutes, rather than moving through it quickly, gives your fascia — the connective tissue wrapped around every muscle — time to soften in a way fast movement never reaches. Fascia responds to time and gentle, sustained pressure, not force. Layering hands-on touch into that stillness lets the release go even deeper, reaching places that stretching alone doesn't quite get to. It's less about pushing the body somewhere, and more about giving it the time and support to let go on its own.

You stay on the mat the whole time, in comfortable, easy clothing. No bodywork table, nothing to wash off after — just the ground beneath you, my hands, and however much softness you're ready to let in.

Whenever possible, I offer this outdoors, by the lake or in a quiet corner of the dunes. Nature has a way of holding the space with us — it doesn't compete with the stillness, it deepens it.

This session can be shaped around the same four intentions as my table rituals — Grounding, Stillness, Releasing or Awakening — just met through movement and mat-based touch instead of a bodywork table. Tell me what your body is asking for, and I'll meet you there.

Rooted in feminine embodiment — an invitation to feel, breathe, and be touched, exactly as you are.

60 minutes 90 minutes
  • Comfortable, easy clothing — nothing restrictive
  • No experience or flexibility needed — the poses are supported, not performed
  • A short conversation beforehand about what your body needs that day
  • You're always in control of pressure and depth — this is your session, I simply follow

About Skin & Soil

Held by hands, grounded in nature

I'm a yoga teacher with a long-standing love for the body — how it moves, holds tension, and lets go. Skin & Soil grew out of that work: a space where touch becomes a way of listening, not just releasing.

Every oil and salve used during your session is made by hand, from natural ingredients, with the same care I bring to my own daily rituals — close to nature, free from synthetic additives, simple and honest.

Skin & Soil is a space for women to slow down, reconnect, and be cared for — offered through guided hands-on bodywork sessions, each designed as its own sacred ritual.

Practical information

Everything you need to know before booking your ritual.

What to expect

The table rituals (Grounding, Stillness, Releasing, Awakening) can be booked as hands-on bodywork on its own, or combined with 60–90 minutes of yoga beforehand — depending on what you're looking for. Combined with yoga, a session typically runs 2–3 hours. We figure out the right shape together when you reach out.

The Somatic Yin Meets Sensual Vinyasa Flow session runs as a fixed 60 or 90 minutes, always on the mat.
